Bunch A Hillbillies

Hello Atlanta bloggers!!! Knock knock. Dave with BlogNetNews has created this whole cool blog news site, with a whole Georgia section that does nothing but -- promote us Atlanta/Georgia news/political bloggers. And Dave from BlogNetNews says not one Atlanta blogger has given him back any linky-love. Jeez... just like a buncha redneck dopes. I told him I know your mommas raised you better'n that.

Now get out there and put out for BlogNetNews, k?

Honestly, I was waiting to see how it panned out. It's hard to not be suspicious of ulterior motives. I'll link. God knows I've been pissing the Dems off enough over the last few days. I certainly don't need to piss off any more hell bent for leather southern women.

Heh heh, reminds me of this joke that's circulating amongst southern women, via email, right now:

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. The first man had married a woman from Iowa and had told her that she was going to do dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and dishes washed and put away.

The second man had married a woman from Illinois . He had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done and food was on the table.

The third man had married a girl from South Carolina . He told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot food on the table for every meal.
He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, enough to fix himself a bite to eat and load the dishwasher.

Well, I had no idea BlogNetNews even existed before reading this post. Hard to link to something if I don't know it exists. And, honestly, if people are creating stuff on the web with the intent of others "putting out" for them/it, well, I think perhaps people should re-examine their motivations, is all.

Other bloggers in other states had mentioned his site in their blogs, and since no one in Georgia had he was just kinda disappointed. It's no big deal really, it's just that he, like all of us, have been working on something cool and new, and he's likely pretty excited and keyed-up and stressed right now about its launch, so he just needed some atta-boys from us here. That's all. A little can go a long long way out in these cyber hinterlands.

Well, I just think he should've emailed the actual Georgia bloggers to tell us about it, if he's all about promoting us.

Maybe he did email some Georgia bloggers though... I don't know. My blog isn't on there so maybe that's why I didn't know about it.

Nah, he emailed me but didn't link me. I saw no point in linking to someone who didn't link to me.

He emailed me. I think it's going to have more of a political bent so I might have been more in the "demographic". Like I said, since there was no one vouching for him, I was suspicious of motives. So mea culpa.

I don't think suspicion is a bad thing.
